The central piece of this sculpture is a copper foil paper feather. This metallic paper takes the embossing beautifully and was a joy to create. The background is a layered paper cut using various archival papers. The birds, like the oversized feather, are fanciful—crane-like, bluejay-ish, and a duck-inspired creature—it was fun to be inventive with this imagery. The piece can be hung diagonally or straight and the natural wood shadowbox frame is wired for either presentation. It hung in the diamond shape version above the door in Copper Shop Art Gallery during the LifeSlice show.
